Professor Kei Hirose receives the 2024 Robert Wilhelm Bunsen Medal from EGU

Professor Kei Hirose (The University of Tokyo) has been awarded the Robert Wilhelm Bunsen Medal of the European Geoscience Union (EGU) for the year 2024. The award, which is given annually to one person from the EGU’s Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology, and Volcanology Department, is an international award commemorating the work of Robert Wilhelm Bunsen, a German chemist famous for his development of the Bunsen burner.
This is the second Japanese researcher to receive this prize from JpGU, following Prof. Tetsuo Irifune (GRC, Ehime University) in 2016.
