Science Sections
There are five Science Sections within JpGU. During the registration process, a regular member of JpGU is asked to choose a main participating section from a list of existing sections. A section president representing the main participating section chosen will be selected from the JpGU senates. The selected section president will be responsible for organizing the Science Board, which will actively promote research activities from the section. Promotional activities include the proposal of a long-term science vision, the establishment of focus groups based on the proposed science vision, the proposal of JpGU sections, the organization of JpGU programs, the planning and editing of section journals.
