#2. The JpGU-AGU Joint Meeting 2017 Information [Important]

(1) Final Program to be Released Soon

The program has been finalized based on the number of abstracts
received in each session. The number of submissions recorded more than
1,000 this year. We hope all attendees enjoy this commemorative
meeting.

Release will be announced later and notification will also be sent by email.

(2) Register Early and Save your Money!
All attendees must make an online Meeting registration in order to
attend our meeting. If you wish to receive a discount rate, please
finish your registration during the Early Registration period.

** Early Meeting Registration Deadline: May 8th, at 4:59pm JST***

*Abstract submission and abstract submission fee does not register
you for the meeting.

*The registration fee of the public session attendees is free of charge.
*Undergraduate students or younger and Senior over 70 can participate
free of charge.

(3) Keynote Speech

Commemorating our first joint meeting with AGU, two honorable speakers
will deliver keynote speeches on Sunday, May 21st.

(4) Lunchtime Special Lecture
World class researchers deliver lectures during the lunchtime!
Please bring your lunch and enjoy the lectures.

The party will be held on May 23rd starting at 7:00pm with delicious food,
beverages and fun lottery game!

Party registration will open in April. Don’t miss it!

(6) International Mixer Luncheon
To enhance the exchange of early career scientists from all over the
world, International Mixer Luncheon will be held during our meeting.

Date and Time: May 22nd, 12:30pm-13:30pm
Fee: Free of charge
*Lunch will be provided.

(7) Child Care Service
“Little Garden WBG School” provides a professional children’s
program during JpGU-AGU Joint Meeting 2017. This nursery school is
five-minute walk from the meeting site and they have English speaking
foreign teachers and bilingual staff.

They offer a special price to the meeting attendees and moreover,
JpGU will partially subsidize the costs.

(8) Business Meeting Application
Application will start in the end of March.
Announcement will be made when starts.

(9) Student Working Program (part time job) Application
Application is planned to start in April.
Please wait for a while.

(10) VISA and Letters Issue
We started to issue documents of VISA application and Letters on
March 8.

# 3. Call for OSPA Judges
Each year the number of students who apply for Outstanding Student
Presentation Award (OSPA) are increasing and this year was no
exception.

The volunteer judges are essential to this Award.

#4. Annual Due Payments [Important]

The 2017 membership period is from April 1st, 2017 to March 31st, 2018.
The membership will automatically extend to another membership year
unless you withdraw it.

In order to make a meeting registration payment, the 2017 annual due
has to be paid.

Non-members are not required annual dues, however discounted rate for
meeting registration is not adopted.
