Abstract submission deadline:February 3, Tuesday at 23:59 JST or Deadline for early bird submission(*)

(2)Implementing e-Poster on trial

JpGU aims to increase participants from Asian countries.
The biggest barrier to increase participants from abroad is the
travel expences.

We plan to implement e-Poster system on trial in JpGU Meeting 2015, the same style as
EGU and AGU.

★Terms and conditions

Intended participants: Presenters of International sessions

As we have only 3 terminals are prepared at the poster presentation room,
we can’t meet with all requirements.

Poster data PDF is to be submitted beforehand.

Real time discuccion using Skype is available at the core time.
Please note e-Poster is on trial basis in JpGU Meeting 2015 and we can’t be
responsible for any troubles caused by internet connection and others.

Formal ceitificate is issued for the presenters of e-Posters.

Registration fee for e-Poster is free in JpGU Meeting 2015.
Abstract submission fee is as usual.
From 2016 meetings, registration fee at a low cost will be planned to be charged.

└■ 3.Nishida Prize for Promotion of Geoscience【Deadline is coming soon】

Japan Geoscience Union has created the “Nishida Prize for Promotion of Geoscience”
to honor internationally recognized mid-level researchers under the age of 45.
The prize is named for member Prof. Atsuhiro Nishida (fellow),
who provided a proposal and a donation in support.

Recommendation Period:September 20 – December 15, 2014

(2) New webpage [Gallery View of All Articles] is now available.
In order to make it easier to browse through the papers published in PEPS
we have created a new webpage where all of our papers are presented in a
gallery view format, starting with the most recently published. Each
gallery item contains the title of the paper, the authors names and a
compressed extract of an important graph or diagram from the paper.
Clicking on an item displays the paper abstract, gives a more detailed
view of the diagram and provides a link to view the full paper. The new
webpage is available in English at

PEPS Editorial Office has started SPEPS

Deadline for abstract submission for XIX INQUA 2015 at Nagoya is closed soon.

The XIX INQUA Congress, Quaternary Perspectives on Climate Changem Natural Hazards and Civilization
is to be held at Nagoya, Japan from July 27 to August 2, 2015.
More than 1,000 participants are expected.

There are 116 sessions and abstract submission deadline is December 20th.

(2) Japan Earh Science Olympiad Committee

Application for the pre-selection of the 7th Japan Earth Science Olympiad
was closed and 2,296 students around Japan applied for this.
We enjoyed great increase in comparison to the 1,689 of last year.

We’re now accepting donation for the 10th International Earth Science Olympiad held in 2016.
