#2. JpGU Meeting 2019 Information [Important]

(1) Final Program Information
The final program will be published on March 14.

There are many updates on the final schedule. Please make sure to check
the latest program before you make a presentation/attend the meeting.

Notification of acceptance will be distributed via email on March 13.

We hope all attendees enjoy the JpGU2019.

(2) Register Early and Save your Money!
All attendees are required to make an online Meeting registration to
attend JpGU2019. If you wish to receive a discounted rate,
please finish your registration during the Early Registration period.

not register you for the meeting. Meeting registration is a separate

those who are planning to present or attend JpGU 2019.

(4) [Now Accepting] GEOFUT19
GEOFUT 19 is a JpGU Official futsal event with more than 120 participants
gathering around to enjoy playing soccer and exchanging their science.

We welcome anyone who wish to join us including women and elders
(over 40yrs old) .

(5) [Now Accepting] JpGU Field Trip 2019
JpGU is pleased to announce that we will conduct the JpGU Field Trip
this year again after convention on May 31.
The course is the same as last year’s but we have made some rearrangement
and brush-ups!

-UMI Course: Special Tour to SHIRASE and PERC
Fee: 4,000 JPY/ person *Lunch included
Course detail: Shirase, PERC, Sapporo Brewery Tower (with one glass of beer)
-YAMA Course: Field Trip for Chibanian
Fee: 5,500 JPY/ person *Lunch included
Course detail: Chibanian tour, trolley train riding, Kasamori Kannon,
Hot spring bath at Ryugujo Spa Hotel Mikazuki

The application of presenters for poster presentation by high school
student is now open. The deadline is April 10.

JpGU will host a party on Tuesday evening, May 28.

The International Mixer Luncheon 2019 will take place on Monday, 27
May welcoming students and early career scientists from all over the
world to network and meet new people.

(9) Child Care Service
JpGU will provide a child care service during the meeting.
Details on how to apply, application period and etc. will be posted
on our website and be delivered to you in the JpGU NEWS & Info.

(10) Various Applications
JpGU offers rental rooms for business meeting during the meeting.
We will provide these room on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Application for Society members will open on March 14 and after one
week on March 22 for all attendees.

(11) Student Work Program (Part Time Job at the Meeting)
JpGU will start calling for part time student workers during the
meeting.
Application is planned to be open in April.

(12) Housing Information
Nippon Travel Agency has opened the website for local accommodations
for JpGU Meeting attendees.

(13) Call for Exhibitors
JpGU Meeting is calling for applications to Exhibition. As the
largest meeting on geoscience in Japan, the JpGU Meeting not only
attracts many more exhibitors year by year, but Exhibition becomes
much more popular to participants including students. Please note
that we have already accepted a certain number of applications, so
that we will not be able to accept applications once all the places
are taken. Could you please be a part of JpGU 2019 Meeting to promote
your products, projects and services, and to expand your communication
network?
If you apply by the end of March, your booth will be shown on our
program book. We are looking forward to receiving your application.

#3. Request for Annual Due Payments [Important]

The 2019 JpGU membership year (fiscal year) is from April 1, 2019 to
March 31, 2020.
The membership will automatically extend to another membership year
unless you cancel the account.

[Important Notes]
-The annual due should be paid in order to make a meeting registration.
-Nonmember ID holders are charged the annual dues, however no discount
is applicable for the meeting registration fee.
-JpGU members who do not wish to continue the membership for 2019
may cancel their account by March 31. If cancelled after this date,
the annual due for the next fiscal year will be charged.
