(1) Final Abstract Submission Deadline Approaching! [1 week left/ Deadline: Feb 19, 17:00]
The abstract submission is about to close in one week.
Late submissions are not accepted.

As the deadline approaches, the significant congestion in the submission
website/ system is expected. Please finish your submission well ahead
of time.

* All attendees including invited authors should submit their abstracts
and complete its payment by the deadline.

(10) Travel Support for Students [Deadline: Feb 21]
JpGU offers financial support for students in order to attend the
2019 meeting.

Eligible applicants:
-Applicant must be a student (high school to graduate school) at the
time of application.
-Applicant must be the first author and the presenter (posters included).
Will be required to provide detailed personal information to JpGU at the
time of application.

#3. #3. Request for Annual Due Payments [Important]

The 2019 JpGU membership year (fiscal year) is from April 1, 2019 to
March 31, 2020.
The membership will automatically extend to another membership year
unless you cancel the account.

[Important Notes]
-The annual due should be paid in order to make a meeting registration.
-Nonmember ID holders are charged the annual dues, however no discount
is applicable for the meeting registration fee.
-JpGU members who do not wish to continue the membership for 2019
may cancel their account by March 31. If cancelled after this date,
the annual due for the next fiscal year will be charged.

#4. Information from Partner Unions
Abstract Submission for AOGS 2019 Has Extended!

AOGS2019, the 16th annual meeting of AOGS (Asia Oceania Geosciences
Society) will be held from 28 July to 2 August 2019 at SUNTEC
Singapore. The nominal deadline for abstract submission was 12
February but extended for a week till 19 February by considering
the impacts from the Lunar New Year holidays. Therefore, the door
is still open for submission of your abstract. We look forward to
seeing you at AOGS2019 (with the General Election).
