Statement regarding the earthquake disaster in Venezuela

We are deeply saddened by the news of the recent destructive earthquakes in
Venezuela. We extend our condolences to everyone affected by this
tragedy. As a geoscience community, we are reminded of the importance of
solidarity, resilience, and scientific cooperation in the face of natural
hazards. Our thoughts are with our Venezuelan colleagues, the families
impacted, and the emergency teams dedicated to recovery efforts.
