(6) Lunch time special lectures by the 1st Nishida Prize Awardees

Lunch time special lectures this year are delivered by
the 1st Nizhida Prize Awardees,
everyday at lunch time (1:00pm – 1:40pm).
Lunch boxes are sold in front of the lecture room.
Tentative schedule is as follows.

#3. From Committees

(1) Japan Earth Science Olympiad Committee

Final selection was held from March 13th to 15th and Japan Geoscience
Union Award was given to the female student.
>From ten outstanding awardees, four high school students were chosen
as members of Team Japan.
Delegates from 29 countriea are going to participate in International
Earth Science Olympiad held in Mie.
This is the record highest number.

#4. Information from PEPS

(1) Exhibition in EGU General Assembly 2016
JpGU and PEPS are going to have a booth in EGU General Assembly 2016
in Vienna on 17 – 22 April. We look forward to your visiting our booth
(#M8) near the EGU and AGU booths in the basement hall.

(2) PEPS article won the best paper award of the Seismological Society of Japan

The following article published on PEPS won the best paper award 2015
of the Seismological Society of Japan:

for Earthquake Prediction, Disaster Prevention Research Institute,
Kyoto University)

(3) New SPEPS (Call for Papers) to Open in May

On May 1st, we will open a new SPEPS (SPecial call for Excellent Papers
