└■ 2.Announcement: Representative Election

 The term of representatives elected in 2012 is to expire on March 31, 2013.
On August 2, Friday, the 3rd represenatatives’ election is to be announced.
Anyone who has made membership subscription to Japan Geoscience Union is
eligible to be a representative candidate.
Representative candidates can apply directly by themselves and other members can
recommend representative candidates with their consents. Further information is to
be announced soon.

Necessary information is his or her name, organization he or she belongs to, more than
two names who recommends him or her as a candidate, his or her electoral zone and comments
or endorsers. Written consent to accept recommendations is also necessary if he or she is
a candidate recommended by other members.

Comments or endorsers have to be 100 two-byte characters or less.

We sincerely hope our members will run for the election and vote for candidates.
We also hope you, who has not finished membership subscription to the Japan Geoscience
Union and positively become engaged in the management.

Thank you for your continuous support to Japan Geoscience union.
Please understand that we decided to increase the registration fee to the followings
at Board of directors held in March, 2013.
We plan to imporove service for the participants for JpGU Meetings.
We appreciate your understanding.

We increase the registration fees for students less than those for general participants.

We plan to improve service for the participants.
We change the meeting venue from Makuhari Messe to Pacifico Yokohama, promote Information
Technology and publish new Open Access-e-journal.

We don’t increase the annual dues.
Please be kind to understand our situation.

held in 2016 at Mie Prefecture was started on June 8, 2013.

Vice presidents are Eikei Suzuki, governor of Mie Prefecture and Junsei Uchida,
principal of Mie University.
