A(1). Student Travel Support - Domestic Participants
JpGU provides a partial travel support for students who are planning to attend and present at the 2026 meeting.

Maximum 50,000 JPY for domestic attendees

Announcement of Recipients
The results are planned to be announced on and after 3 April (in the order of application)
Eligibility
-Applicant must be a student (high school to graduate school) at the time of application.
-Applicant must be the first author and the presenter (posters included, except for those in O-12 session "Posters of senior high school students", O-13"International Poster Session for high school students").
Selection Criteria
Recipients must fulfill the following conditions. The selection will consider diversity and financial needs of the applicants.
- Students must secure the rest of the traveling costs, registration fee for the JpGU Meeting 2026 and other related costs by themselves.
- Submitted abstract need to be recognized as adequate by the relevant JpGU Section.
- The entry form must be fully answered.

Important Notes
- This travel support can only be used for transportation and accommodation fees.
(Unavailable: registration fee, abstract submission fee, meals etc.)
The original receipts are required when receiving the grant.
- Submissions after the confirmation of this grant is not accepted.
- The travel costs will be reimbursed at the meeting. Please pay all the fees in advance by yourself.
- If the Meeting moves to a fully online format, the travel support will be cancelled.
Steps to Receive a Grant
- Provide fully filled
travel expense report(docx) (designated form) with original receipt of travel and hotel costs at the time of participation.
- Grants are provided in cash at the meeting in exchange for the proofs mentioned above.
- Respond to a questionnaire and provide a brief meeting experience report (1 page A4/US Letter) in English.

A2. Student Travel Support - International Participants
The meeting 2026 being joint with AGU, AGU will handle the applications from students residing outside of Japan.
Information will be posted around January 23rd.
B. Support for Residents of Developing Countries

C. Diversity Promotion Support
To enhance participant diversity, registration fee for the JpGU-AGU Joint Meeting 2026 support will be provided to members who are raising or caring for children or in retirement and who are unable to obtain public support. Applications from early-career and female researchers are strongly encouraged. Selection will be conducted through a review process. Results are expected to be notified by the end of March.
