Dear colleagues,
The 1st JpGU-AGU joint meeting held from 20th through 25th May, 2017 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan was a great success with 8,148 participants in total. Of these, we had 5,562 presentations and the number who participated in the scientific sessions were 6,648. Especially students, including graduate, undergraduate and younger occupied 33% (2,223). We were very glad to welcome this large number of attendees at our meeting.

This year we had many special events, which were also successful and fruitful: Keynote Speech by Professor Lucy Jones and Professor Takaaki Kajita, Award Ceremony, Presidential Reception, Official party, International Mixer Luncheon, Lunchtime Special Lecture, Hyperwall presentations, 'Oshaberi' Bar -Pop-Up Talks-, AGU Town Hall Meeting, Excursion (Geofut 17, Tokyo Half-day Bus Tour, Geotours), and others.

We consider JpGU as a bottom-up society and we'd like to make an effort to keep improving the quality of our future meetings.
Therefore, we appreciate your active contribution for the meeting by providing your feedback at: https://business.form-mailer.jp/fms/f1fb0cbe70646

We look very much forward to seeing you again next year at the JpGU annual meeting 2018, 20th (Sunday) -24th (Thursday), May, 2018 at Makuhari Messe.
