Session proposal are accepted from 1st September, Tuesday through 15th October, Thursday, 2015.
Propose a Session

Before proposing a session,

  • Please read Conveners Guideline.
  • Please update your membership information.  >> JpGU login
    Up-to-date information is delivered to each convener's registered email address.
  • For Co-conveners
    Co-conveners without JpGU IDs can't get up-to-date information and organize a session with conveners.
    Please create JpGU ID if necessary.
  • Session category
    Please choose the session category among P, A, H, S, B, G and M. O or U will be given by Program Committee.

    Session Category
    Public session (O) Sessions open to the public widely spread the the fruit of earth planetary science field.
    we don't accept normal session proposals.
    Union session (U) Sessions to present the up-to date frontier topics related to all earh and planetary sciences-related community.
    Space and Planetary Sciences (P) Planetary Science, Solar Terrestrial Physics, Space Physics, Space Electromagnetism Exoplanetology... etc.
    Atmospheric and Hydrospheric Sciences (A) Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Atmospheric Environment, Ocean Sciences, Hydrology, Limnology, Ground Water Hydrology, Cryospheric Sciences, Geoenvironmental Science, Climate Change Research...etc.
    Human Geoscience (H) Geography, Geomorphology, Engineering Geology, Sedimentology, Natural Disaster, Disaster Prevention, Resources, Energy...etc.
    Solid Earth Sciences (S) Geodesy, Seismology, Geomagnetism, Science of the Earth's Interior, Earth and Planetary Tectonics Dynamics, Geology, Quaternary Research, Lithology and Mineralogy, Volcanology, Geochemistry...etc.
    Biogeosciences (B) Biogeosciences, Space Biology, Origin of Life, Geosphere-Biosphere Interactions, Palaeontology, Paleoecology...etc
    Education & Outreach (G) Earth Science Education, School Education, Relation to the society...etc.
    Mutlidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary (M) Session that can't be categorized into one session, Joint Symposium with other scientific societies...etc.
  • The following information is required to propose a session.

    1. Title (within 100 characters)
    2. Short title (within 40 characters)
    3. Convener's ID
    4. Co-conveners'ID, or names, affiliation and email addresses
    5. Session proposal type (Inarticleidual, Research Group(Project Team), JpGU Science Section, JpGU Organizing Committee, Co-sponsored Session by JpGU-member societies (with formal confirmation) Joint Symposium with societies other than JpGU-association)
    6. Session Categories (Select from the 7 categories)
    7. Request as a Public session
    8. Request as International Symposium (default)
    9. Language for presentation (English as default)
    10. Session Scope (description of the session; within 2000 characters)
    11. Presentation type (Oral or Poster / Poster only)
    12. Expected numbers of oral papers and poster papers, respectively
    13. Desired size of the room (approx. number of expected session participants)(Optional)
    14. Session sub category and additional information
    15. Request of arrangement of your session site (for example, request of LCD projector, screen location, position of your session posters in the poster venue, etc.) Free description within 400 characters
