Sessions in JpGU meetings are categorized into 7 JpGU Categories and subcategories.
Union and Public Sessions are special sessions outside of these 7 regular categories.

Union		U	Sessions to present up-to-date frontier topics related to all Earth and planetary sciences communities.
Public		O	Sessions open to the public to promote scientists' outreach activities, and to communicate with the society on understandings of research fields of our Union.
Section Leading		L	Sessions proposed by Section leadership for Section-wide participation and discussion.

Contact between Conveners and Presenters

We will provide mailing lists for communication between session conveners and presenters after scientific sessions are finalized in Mid-April. Please make use of this tool for organizing your session.

Announcement from Sessions

After the program is released, we plan to announce updates from the conveners, including changes to session content.

List of Invited Authors

Provisional list of tentative invited authors will be published after the session is accepted and updated sequentially.

Union Sessions

Union sessions focus on topics with a broad interest that are outside of a single section.
The 2027 Union Sessions are scheduled to be released on Thu. 26 November.

Public Sessions

Public sessions are open to general public attendees who are interested in geoscientific progress and contents to hear from an interact directly with researchers. Registration is free of charge to attend these sessions.

Section Leading Sessions

Section Leading sessions are the sessions organized by the five scientific sections of JpGU.
The 2027 Section Leading Sessions are scheduled to be released on Thu. 26 November.

Joint Session with Partner Unions

Joint sessions with AGU, AOGS, EGU, and TCGU will continue to be organized as in the previous year.
The 2027 joint sessions are scheduled to be released on Thu. 26 November.

Co-Sponsored Sessions with JpGU Society Members

The 2027 Co-Sponsored Sessions with JpGU Society Members are scheduled to be released on Thu. 26 November.

International Cooperative Sessions

These sessions are held to extend our collaborative networking with overseas societies.
The 2027 International Cooperative Sessions are scheduled to be released as soon as they are ready.

Co-sponsoring Sessions with Organizations Other Than JpGU Society Members
