Regular session (R session)to top of this page
This Union sess session highly focuses on a specific theme in the field of the Earth
and planetary sciences, and is going to be held regularly for the next five years.
In addition to the sessions proposed by the institutions, there are some sessions
that the Program Committee considers to be appropriate for a regular program because
of their past achievements. Seventy-two main themes have been identified for the
2008 Meeting. The R sessions for the Meeting 2009 have already arranged by the
Program Committee. Thus, no session proposal is now invited.

Union session (U session)to top of this page
Union session has a lot in common with the Earth and planetary sciences. It is a
session where the up-to-date topics that many participants are interested in are
discussed. As the union organizes it, no session proposal is invited. However, when
the union considers a proposed idea to be appropriate for union session, it may be
treated as such.

Public presentation (A session)to top of this page
Public presentation is an outreach program that is set in order for the public as
well as for those who are involved in the Earth and planetary sciences to be
familiar with the results of the Earth and planetary sciences. This presentation is
easy enough for everyone to be familiar with the up-to-date information about the
Earth and planetary sciences and the results of its research. It will also contain
high school students' poster presentation. As the union organizes it, no session
proposal is invited.
