| Scope |
This session will cover discussions on various aspects of disaster prevention education, including education on natural disaster science, methods for disaster prevention education, transmitting disaster lessons to future generations, initiatives within school events such as evacuation drills, disaster prevention education in school curricula, and education for recovery from disasters. This time, the main theme will be disaster prevention education concerning volcanic eruptions. We welcome presentations on various aspects of volcanic disaster prevention education, including methods for continuous education of citizens and students, strategies for fostering independent judgment, experimental teaching materials, and practical educational examples. Furthermore, we broadly accept reports from the fields of geography and earth sciences concerning comprehensive and continuous disaster prevention education, as discussed annually in this session, as well as reports that could initiate future scope for the coming years. Note that this session includes middle and high school teachers among its participants. To facilitate understanding of the content and encourage active discussion, it will be conducted as a J Session.
