Scope (Session Description) |
There is a wide range of research, however, the expectations for "research that meets the needs of society" have been rising. In this series of session, we have been discussing the value of knowledge creation since 2020 under the following themes in collaboration with the AGU.
2020: The Ideal and Reality of Research Evaluation
2021: Researchers' awareness and accountability for the mandate of society
2022: The role-sharing between us and Funding Agencies
2023: Our perceptions of science and society
2024: Science and Society, Collaboration and Evaluation
Last five years, the Union Session has consisted of overseas case study reports and panel discussions, and pre and/or post-session questionnaires have been conducted. In this session, we will promote substantive discussions on the "future prospects of research evaluation" considering research diversity, with "research evaluation" and "society" as the main focus through sharing these results with JpGU members. |
