The great Tohoku earthquake: Actions that the Japanese earth and planetary sciences community should take
Scope
The tragic March 11 Tohoku earthquake and the subsequent devastation of the Fukushima nuclear power plants have raised many serious questions on the way of our science. The session discusses the fundamental problems of our science, relationship with the social community, and what we should do for huge disasters that have been unforeseeable.
