Predicting radiation dose from solar energetic particles
Scope
The main subject of this session is to predict the radiation dose to airplane passengers from galactic cosmic rays (GCR) and especially from ground level enhancement (GLE). Research papers in this session are ranging from to understand the mechanisms of GLEs and to quantitatively predict the radiation dose in the atmosphere using spacecraft and ground based observations.
