本セッションは，自然災害科学に関する教育，防災教育の手法，災害伝承，避難訓練などの学校行事の中での取り組み，学校教育における防災教育，災害からの復興教育など，防災教育に関する様々な分野の議論を扱う。今回は，その中でも市民への防災教育をメインテーマとする。自然災害はあらゆる市民に襲いかかってくる。その市民には，年齢（幼児・児童から高齢者），障がい，言語，信仰，ジェンダーなどにおける多様性がある。このように多様な対象があるため，市民への防災教育には様々な課題があると考えられる。
　また，本セッションで例年扱ってきたような，総合的で継続性のある防災教育に関する議論，および来年以降のスコープの発端となるような報告について地理分野や地学分野から広く受け付ける。

This session will cover discussions on various areas of disaster education, including education on natural disaster science, methods of disaster education, disaster hand-down, efforts in school events such as evacuation drills, disaster education in school, and education on reconstruction from disasters. The main theme of this year's session will be disaster education for citizens. Natural disasters strike all citizens. These citizens are diverse in age (from infants to the elderly), disabilities, language, faith, gender, and so on. Because of this diversity of educational targets, there are many problems in educating citizens about disaster preparedness.
We will also accept reports from the fields of geography and geoscience that can be used as a starting point for discussions on comprehensive disaster education, as we have done in previous years, as well as for the scope of next year's session and beyond.
