スコープ | 和文 | Recurrence of past earthquakes through historic, geomorphic and geologic time provide us essential information on location, size and timing of future large earthquakes. The study of past faulting, source fault and seismicity has played important role for seismic hazard assessment and mitigation of the related hazards. Furthermore, active fault studies contribute to understanding active tectonics under the on-going tectonic stress field. In this session, we encourage submissions from scientists in relation with all aspects of active fault studies and paleoseismology, including interdisciplinary fields of geology, geomorphology, archaeology, historical earthquake, seismology, geodesy and numerical simulations. | |
