スコープ和文地球環境や地域環境に関わる諸問題の理解と解決は⼈類にとって喫緊の課題となっている。空間
を広く俯瞰しその変動までを明らかにすることができるリモートセンシングは、問題解決のため
の強⼒なツールである。このセッションでは、⽇本および世界の諸地域を対象としてリモートセ
ンシングによる環境変動および⾃然災害の発⾒、理解そして解決といった地球診断に関わる研究
成果を報告頂き議論する。
英文Measuring environmental changes at various spatio-temporal scales is the key to improv
e our understanding of the relationship between human activities and environmental pro
blems. Remote sensing is a powerful tool to acquire information on the earth's surface fr
equently and repeatedly over a broad spatial scale, enabling us to find the changes whic
h might be related to the cause and consequence of environmental degradation. This ses
sion discusses the applications of remote sensing to the detection and monitoring of envi
ronmental changes in time and space, and aims to promote the knowledge-sharing for b
etter management of the environmental problems and natural disaster in any place in th
e world.
