Scope In recent years, we have practically recognized the impacts of global environmental change across various spatial and temporal scales. The increasing frequency of extreme weather events, sea level rise, ecosystem changes, etc. highlight the complexity and multifaceted nature of these changes, making their monitoring, prediction, and the development of adaptation strategies urgent challenges. Satellite observations are indispensable as a foundational tool in this context. Advances in sensor technology, model assimilation, and AI-driven data processing have enabled sophisticated applications such as multi-sensor data integration, coupling with numerical models, and the construction of digital twins. The growing involvement of private-sector small satellites and the accumulation of over 40 years of observational data are also opening new possibilities for long-term change analysis. In light of the increasingly integrated and advanced utilization of satellite data, we propose this session under "the Atmospheric and Hydrospheric Sciences (A) - Complex & General (CG)" aims to provide a platform for cross-disciplinary presentations and discussions that deepen our understanding of global environmental change and explore future directions for satellite Earth observation.
