Scope (Session Description) |
Recent discoveries in experimental petrology, cosmochemistry, geochemistry, mineral physics, and numerical modeling have both supported and questioned existing paradigms about the differentiation processes, magma ocean crystallization, and timelines of early Earth. We aim to explore and connect these findings. We invite contributions from fields such as experimental petrology and geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, geochemical modeling, cosmochemistry, and mineral physics and geodynamics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: accretion and impacts, core formation, crystallization and degassing of the magma ocean, and the formation of the first atmosphere. |
