Scope
This session aims to share the current knowledge on stratigraphy, geochronology, geochemistry, paleoclimatology, and paleoceanography at or around chronostratigraphic unit boundaries. Geological studies dealing with chronostratigraphic unit boundaries, such as the Permian-Triassic (P-T) and Cretaceous-Paleogene (K-Pg) boundaries, as well as boundaries between systems (periods), series (epochs), stages (ages), and other chronozones (chrons) are welcome. We also welcome studies on global events such as oceanic anoxic events (OAEs), asteroid impacts, and geomagnetic reversals, as well as the lithostratigraphy, tephrostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, biostratigraphy, chemostratigraphy, magnetostratigraphy, radiometric dating, tectonics, etc. of rock sequences above or below the chronostratigraphic unit boundaries in Japan and elsewhere.
