Scope |
Both formal and informal educational environments are undergoing rapid changes, including revisions to the curriculum guidelines, revisions to the Museum Law, and the promotion of recurrent education. In addition, in 2023, the Science Council of Japan announced the "Future Science Promotion Plan" (formerly known as "the Master Plan"), and in order to advance future plans for earth and planetary science, which plays a part in giant science, it is important to provide detailed explanations to citizens as to why the plans are necessary. It's becoming important. Amid these rapid changes, outreach and public relations activities to communicate the contents of activities, including education and research, to the general public are also showing new developments, and the sites and subjects of activities are diversifying. This session will cover the dissemination of knowledge on earth and planetary science carried out by a wide range of activities including not only educational and research institutions, but also local governments, NPOs, and companies, and will serve as a place for information sharing and collaboration building. We welcome a wide range of presentations, including practical examples from each field, how to develop strategies, and research on outreach and public relations such as theory construction and practical analysis. |
