Scope Numerical data generated by observations and simulations in the earth and planetary sciences are becoming increasingly complex as observational techniques become more sophisticated and computational scales grow larger. The purpose of this session is to discuss a wide range of data technologies, including new observation and measurement methods, large-scale data processing and numerical simulation techniques, data storage and publication techniques, and data transfer and collection. We hope that information will be exchanged from various fields and that discussions on integrated technological development will be promoted from here. The content of the presentations will not be limited to any specific content, but will have an eye toward advancing data-oriented science and earth and planetary information science. We also welcome proposals that are expected of Earth and planetary information science from the standpoint of actual observations and numerical calculations.
