Scope | JAXA's Hayabusa2 and NASA's OSIRIS-REx have been exploring near-Earth carbonaceous asteroids Ryugu and Bennu, and the surface samples will be delivered to the Earth in 2020 and 2023. The returned samples are expected to provide us with copious information on the origin and evolution of the Solar System. We will discuss what we have learned from the asteroids so far and what we expect to know from the samples. | |
