| Scope | Recently developed observational and numerical approaches have revealed details of physical processes in coastal regions, which can affect large-scale oceanic/atmospheric circulations and ecosystems. This session aims to provide a platform to discuss mixing, eddies, and internal waves in coastal/marginal oceans including estuaries and lakes. This session also covers topics that consider linkages between coastal phenomena and large scale processes in the open ocean (e.g., the Kuroshio Current). | |
