ScopeRecent technical developments of high-definition topographic and geophysical data acquisition have enabled us to further investigate geoscientific issues including land surface processes, subsurface structures, submarine and aerial environments, geo-ecological interactions, and disaster mitigation. Such high-definition or high-resolution data are particularly useful for studies in short-term temporal scales, and future predictions such as numerical modelings. In this session, we expect submissions on topics challenging such issues in the Anthropocene, the most recent geological era of the Earth. A range of topics would fit the session framework, including theoretical work, improvements in data acquisition, extensive data preservation and archiving, pre- and post-processing, statistical analysis, modeling, and simulation for geoscientific research and geohazard assessments in the Anthropocene. The methodological approaches may include, but not limited to, laser scanning, SfM-MVS photogrammetry, GNSS precise positioning, SAR interferometry, multi-beam sonar, and electromagnetic sensors, based on terrestrial (fixed or mobile) and aerial (UAV or manned airborne) platforms.
