Next generation sequencing technology of nucleic acids and nanotechnology-driven innovation of solid characterizations are very powerful to expand our understanding of many fields of earth and planetary sciences. It is also important for us to be aware of global warming and climate change that dramatically affect biodiversity, biological activities and elemental cycling.
