			| Scope |

Low latitude area has played an important role to control global
environmental change as a heat engine supplying heat and moisture
towards higher latitudes. Biogenic carbonates such as coral skeleton
and foraminifera tests have been used for climate reconstruction.
This session will discuss the retest progresses in paleoclimate
studies on the low latitudes and biomineralization process. |
