Scope Electrical power caused in thundercloud by friction of cloud particles is consumed in the global circuit, including cloud-to-ground discharge, precipitation current, movement of ions and high altitude discharge phenomena, such as, sprites, which covers ground, atmosphere, ionosphere and even magnetosphere. Recently the quantitative relationship between the electrical discharge activity and meteorology has been investigated extensively. In this international session papers in the broad range of researches related to the atmospheric electrical phenomena and their application to understanding of meteorology will be presented.
Type of presentation Oral and Poster presentation
