They are Space and Planetary Sciences, Atmospheric <br \/>and Hydrospheric Sciences, Human Geosciences, Solid Earth Sciences and Biogeosciences sections.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Each section has its board, which mainly consists of representatives.These five section boards together with Union Science Board promote deveoping earth planetary sciences.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Representatives elected by this representative election are eligible to be candidates and section presidents are to be elected by the votes of individual members.<\/p>\n<p>Specific election system is shown on &#8220;Section President Election Procedure&#8221; shown below.<br \/>Please be sure to submit &#8220;Candidacy Notification Form&#8221; or &#8220;Recommendation Notification Form&#8221; for Section president by the due date.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>November 1, 2013<br \/>Japan Geoscience Union<br \/>Election Board<br \/>Board of Election of Japan Geoscience Union Chairman: Michinari Sunamura<br \/>Members : Akira Sessai Yukimatu, Kenji Kawamura, Hiroyuki Tsubomoto, Masataka Shinohara, Morihisa Hamada<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Section President Election Operating Procedure<br \/>1. Voters<br \/>Members who have finished membership subscription by the deadline of Section President Election (December 16, 2013) are eligible to vote to one candidate of their registered Main Science Section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Cnandidates<br \/>Representatives except for those of General (Education and Outreach) can be candidates of their corresponding science sections.<br \/>Representatives of General (Education and Outreach) can be a candidae of section presidents of their main science section.<br \/>Candidates can apply directly by themselves and be recommended by others.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>3. Term<br \/>The term of section presidents is 2 years from June 1 in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>4. How to be candidates<br \/>There are two ways to be candidates.  One is to apply directly by themselves and the other is to be recommended by other members with confirmation of the candidate.<br \/>Please be sure to submit &#8220;Candidacy Notification Form&#8221; or &#8220;Recommendation Notification Form&#8221; for Section president by the due date.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>5. Submission of Candidacy Form<br \/>Please be sure to complete submission by the due date. (November 15, 2013, JST)<\/p>\n<p>Submission is to be send by email to JpGU Office (office[at]jpgu.org) by copy and paste the &#8220;Candidacy forms&#8221;  below.<\/p>\n<p>In case of reccommendation, &#8220;Recommendation Form&#8221; from the recommender and &#8220;<span id=\"form_title\">Consent letter for Recommendation<\/span>&#8221; are to be submitted.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>6.Time schedule of Election<br \/>Public Announcement of Sedction President Election   November 1, Friday<br \/>Start to accept candidates    November 5, Tuesday<br \/>Close to accept candidates    November 15, Friday<br \/>Start voting for Section President Election       November 25, Monday<br \/>Close voting for Section President Election       December 16, Monday<br \/>Vote counting and Reporting the result        December 20, Thursday<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>7.
