The IGCP has been a cooperative enterprise between
IUGS and UNESCO since 1972, with a focus on comparative
international studies in the Earth Sciences. After three decades of
successful work, the "International Geological Correlation Programme"
continues as the "International Geoscience Programme". To date, IGCP
has made research results available to a large number of scientists
around the world through some 500 projects. Note the call for new
proposals at the end of this E-Bulletin.
