Obtained the Best Paper award in Water Resources Research. This paper developed a complete approach in the modeling of coupled hydromechanical and electromagnetic effects in unsaturated porous media.

Florsch, Determination of permeability from spectral induced polarization data in granular media, Geophysical Journal International, 181, 1480-1498, doi: 10.1111/j.1365-246X.2010.04573.x, 2010. This paper opened a new approach in the modelling of induced polarization in porous media with the possibility t use electromagnetic methods to predict permeability distribution. It has been cited over 125 times (Source: Google Scholar) since its publication.

Fry, Preferential fluid flow pathways in embankment dams imaged by self-potential tomography, Near Surface Geophysics, 7(5), 447-462, doi: 10.3997/1873-0604.2009012, 2009. This paper received the Mintrop award from EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers). This paper developed a new method to monitor leakages in dams and embankments.

4. A. Revil, Pervasive Pressure Solution Transfer in a Quartz Sand”, published in Journal of Geophysical Research, vol. 106 (B5), 8665-8686, May 10, 2001. This paper has received a best paper award from ARMA (American Rock Mechanics Association). This paper developed the first poroviscoplastic model describing compaction by pressure solution in sedimentary basins.

Revil, A., Effective conductivity and permittivity of unsaturated porous materials in the frequency range 1 mHz–1GHz, Water Resources Research, 49, 306-327, doi:10.1029/2012WR012700, 2013.  This paper develops a consistent set of electrical properties for the interpretation of geophysical methods from 1 mHz to 1 GHz.
