Scope | The information of Earth science is essential for all people living on the Earth. And its effective use is necessary for building a sustainable society.
Academic papers by earth scientists are not easy for non-specialists to understand.
Therefore, the role of connecting experts and the general public becomes important.
A variety of science communication activities have been conducted by school educators, social educators, mass media, researchers, and public relations personnel.
It is necessary for the research community to properly recognize the functions of those responsible for such communication.
It is also necessary to deepen the sharing of information among those who are responsible for such communication, and to develop better ways of doing so.
In this session, we will discuss how to create a better relationship between experts and the public.
