Scope | Many critical areas of the Earth are still largely unexplored by deep lithospheric surveys. The Deep Earth processes are key to the control of the geological systems, including the formation of natural resources, natural disasters, and large-scale environmental changes, in the surface of the Earth. Recently, Deep Earth Science has become the last frontier of the Earth Science. The Earth CT is an international cooperation initiative. The goal is to gain a new perspective of the Earth through global participation in its study. Construction of the global "Big Cross" of the lithosphere by the integration of intercontinental and regional geosciences transects. We promote further study of the missing lithosphere geotransects and geosciences corridor in Critical Zones. To be included are regional projects in: Europe, Russia, East Asia(China, Japan, Mongolia and etc), Atlantic Ocean; North America; India. | |
