| Scope | The terrestrial earth surface is the habitat of humans and undergoes drastic changes caused by endogenic and exogenic processes. Establishing the chronology of the past changes/episodes is a key to understanding ongoing processes and to predict future physical environments. This session aims at comprehensive understanding of dynamics of the earth's surface, including crustal movements, uplift-denudation processes, and subsequent landform development occurred in various spatio-temporal scales. In addition to the thermochronological approach, it welcomes interdisciplinary studies based on, e.g., tectonic geomorphology, structural geology, geodetic observation, cosmogenic nuclides, numerical calculations, and analogue experiments. | |
