ScopeNASA, JAXA, and other agencies play an essential role in Education and Communication to inspire, engage and educate in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). The remarkable science discoveries, knowledge, and research are shared with audiences through a variety of technologies such as web portals, mobile apps, VR/AR applications, citizen science/crowdsourcing applications, and the serving of data as commodities for use by advanced visualization facilities including planetariums. This contributes to improving teaching and learning, increasing scientific literacy of the general public, and enriching STEAM efforts. This session seeks talks and demonstrations that: describe existing capabilities, technologies, tools and facilities that contribute to Education, Engagement and Communication; exciting projects and programs in development; and what other awesome technology ideas that will greatly benefit Education, Engagement and Communication, and STEAM. This has been an ongoing, successful session at the AGU Fall Meeting for the past 5 years and we look forward to expanding it to JpGU.
