Scope Mud volcanoes have been discovered on land, lake floor and seafloor in the world. The mechanisms are so various that we have to comprehend as many cases as possible. In this session, we are welcome various case studies and reviews about mud volcanic phenomenon in diverse fields with various approaches (geological, geophysical, geochemical, or mathematical studies, etc). Scopes of their relationships to earthquakes, deep-seafloor bioshere, possible utilization for resources, etc., as well as scientific studies on mechanisms of mud volcanoes are also welcome.
Type of presentation Oral and Poster presentation
