Scope Why is this planet to be the Earth? The aim of this session is to bring constraints on the role of water for answering this one of fundamental questions in the earth and planetary sciences. We invite contributions that present the results of recent geophysical observation, experimental studies, geochemical and petrological analyses, and numerical modeling with related to 1) the origin of water in the Earth, 2) the role of water through the Earth evolution, and 3) the water distribution and circulation in the current solid Earth system.
