スコープ和文地球惑星科学分野で展開されている自然・人文現象に関する地理空間情報を取得,加工,蓄積,分析,可視化するための汎用的な理論と方法を検討する.また,デジタル空間データとGISを用いた実証研究や,地図による具体的な空間表現の成果を発表する.対象を広く設定しているので,GISや地図に関連する隣接諸分野の研究の発表も歓迎する.また,純粋科学的な課題のみならず,教育や社会におけるGISや地図の活用といった応用的な課題や,地球惑星科学分野における意義なども幅広く取り上げる.本セッションは英語で行う.
英文This session discusses various methods which acquire, store, analyze and visualize geospatial data, and presents the outcomes of empirical studies using GIS or mapping methods. The session also deals with applications of digital data, and GIS, and mapping to various fields of earth and planetary science and human society. All presentations and discussion of this session are made in English.
