スコープ和文中緯度域の海洋・大気現象に関連した,メソスケールから海盆規模の現象,短周期変動から温暖化などの長期変動にいたるまでの幅広い時間・空間スケールの研究成果を持ち寄り,更なる中緯度大気海洋相互作用系の理解を深めることを目指す.また乱流・混合や温暖化応答などの物理過程から生態系に至る多角的な観点からの発表も歓迎する。
英文The extratopical ocean had been considered passive to atmospheric variability. Recent studies, however, revealed some active role of the extratopical ocean in modulating the atmosphere. The goal of this session is to deepen our understanding of the air-sea interaction in the extratropics. A wide variety of researches whose topics range from mesoscale to basin-scale, and from daily to global warming are welcomed. Researches on cloud, aerosol, and ecosystem related to the extratopical air-sea interaction are also welcomed.
